An interesting ethical question

This matter presents lots of interesting ethical questions for lawyers and journalists.  Should judges be commenting anonymously on newspaper articles on newspaper websites about sotries involving cases before them. (The answer to that one is pretty clear).  Should journalists trace comments back from anonymous commenters and then out the commenters identity?  Interesting questions.

One Response to An interesting ethical question

  1. MARY STACK says:

I have just read of such a case (pure spite) and the blogger came clean about his identity. He had chosen anonymity to protect family members in a difficult position. I think the judge abdicated her right to privacy by releasing confidential information that had no valid interest in the public domain
